The Lion’s Den, Midhurst

Local café’s warm interiors and historic exterior, captured using natural light photography

Shoot Background

This commission was photographed two hours before first day opening, giving us uninterrupted access to the full space, albeit on a very tight schedule. With no customers, no staff and no food or drink service, the focus was entirely on interiors, exteriors and the venue’s natural character. We also captured elevated drone images to show off its position in Midhurst and the surrounding setting.

Approach

Our aim was to create a set of images that reflect the warmth and everyday appeal of The Lion’s Den. Working with available light and simple compositions, we documented the details that define the space, from comfortable seating areas to the enclosed courtyard and the pub’s exterior frontage.

Result

The final collection gives the venue a strong visual foundation for its website, social media and future marketing. For pubs, cafés and hospitality spaces across Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex and beyond, this style of photography helps build trust, convey atmosphere and support a consistent brand presence.
